Originally a typical 1950s brick bungalow, with a later addition that enclosed a carport. The owners of this property approached us about renovating the addition and adding on a new master bath suite. It was important that we keep with the Mid Century Modern feel of the house while making sure the addition was not disruptive to the street view. The resulting design was to create a master bath addition off the rear of the home that took in a small recess in the footprint. This allowed us to expand the kitchen pantry and enlarge the rear deck to create a more private outdoor lounge area. For exterior materials we matched the double teardrop siding of the old addition and painted all to match.
